"I am not bound to win, but i am bound to be true . I must stand with anybody that stands right , and stand with him while he is right , and part with him when he goes wrong. "

- Abraham Lincoln

Reflection :
I think that what this quote is trying to say to us is that we should surround ourselves with positive people and when they are feeling like there isn't nothing to live for anymore we should be there motivation because at some point they held us up from falling and we would just be returning the favor back to them . Sometimes in life positive people will fall down but you have to remember that nothing so bright last forever and maybe that's as far all someone will ever get. You can have the change to stand tall but only if someone is standing taller than you leading you the way.

April Fool's Day

April Fool's Day

April the first stands mark'd by custom's rules, A day for being, and for making fools: — But, pray, what custom, or what rule supplies .The origins of April fool's day  are obscure. The most commonly cited theory holds that it dates from about 1582, the year France adopted the Gregorian calendar, which shifted the observance of New Year's Day from the end of March (around the time of the to the first of January. April Fools' Day, also called All Fools' Day, is celebrated every April 1st in the United States. While it is not officially recognized as a holiday, many celebrate by pranking, or pulling practical jokes on, their colleagues or by organizing larger-scale hoaxes. As
April Fools' is celebrated in different ways throughout the world, it is unknown exactly how the tradition originated. Some cultures saw it as the first day of spring, celebrating with general merriment and feasting, and certain calendars may consider it the first day of the year. One theory for the terming of an April Fool was that some refused to follow these calendars that recognized April 1st as the first day of the year, which resulted in being called an April Fool. While Americans will typically shout, "April Fools!" after pulling off a prank, Europeans sometimes refer to the holiday as "April Fish," as many observers will tack a paper fish to another's back and yell "April Fish!" However, the individual pranked is still referred to as the "Fool." Fish are often featured on European April Fools' Day cards. Traditional pranking often stops at midday in the United Kingdom, and if one pranks after this time, they themselves become the fool. The origins of this custom are somewhat uncertain, but may have initially been related to the arrival of Spring in late March, at which time Mother Nature is said to "fool" the human race with sudden and fickle changes in the weather...showers one minute and sunshine the next. The playing of practical jokes, however, dates back to Ancient Rome and such activities were an integral part of the Hilaria celebrations held on March 25, a celebration which would again appear to be associated with the coming of Spring and the Vernal Equinox, held to honor the resurrection of Attis, Roman God of Vegetation who was linked to the seasonal cycle. In England, an ancient legend states that April Fool's Day commemorates the fruitless mission of the Rook (or European Crow) which was sent out in search of land from Noah's flood-encircled ark.

" Character is higher than intellect . "

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Reflection :
I think that what this quote is trying to say to us is that , nothing is more important than intellect , if you have character you will be able to achieve more things is life because you have something to be able to base them on , you are maybe strong enough to handle things that others cant maybe you'll get further ahead than others if you put effort or maybe you'll be someone greater just by the fact that you have character so what's the whole point of having intellect if you don't have character. Base your goals on something that will stay there not something that's not here to stay.

If you work hard now , good this in the future will come to you because you put your time and effort into getting to where you someday want to be at. Doing or trying your best will make things so much easier for you , because then you won't have to look back and be like  " oh , i should've done that " , if you work hard now good things will eventually come to you , just sit back and wait on it.

Spring Break

Spring Break .

I can't wait for spring break , why because i don't want to have to wake up earlier everyday even though spring break is just like one week , for that one week alot of things can happen . I can go out to lots of places , sleep in late , wake up late , not have to worry about homework . And most importantly have fun , spring break is super short well its really better than not having it at all but i think summer is better . I think this because when its summer , nights get longer and well its really fun and there's more time to spend with your friends and family , it also means that your officially entering a new grade cause after summer break you go back to school and you have new teachers maybe new kids in your class and well you moved on to the next level of your life . I think that summer is one of the best times of the year of course not including all the other times that we also have breaks from school because lets be realistic school is very stressing having to be up so early , rushing through the morning , and having to sleep in super early to get enough sleep and homework! Oh my lord the homework , its like so stressing cause you know 8 hours at school is just not enough we still have to get homework , our brains are processing so much information that we start to forget what we learned the day before since we are totally learning something new the next day . These are like stating the obvious mainly because i like school , maybe i just don't like some classes or maybe yeah , i like the classes but the teacher . Sometimes the teachers could be one of the leading causes for you to be all stressed out , and sometimes they annyoingness irritates us as students and we just start to ignore them and that when they start to scream and do all these stuff sometimes us as students need like a therapy class or something . I honestly can't wait for spring break and for summer , im praying for time to go by faster because i really need a break from school , saturday and sunday are just not enough days to have a rest from school things , i can't catch up with all the shows i miss in just two days , in spring and summer all of that is possible.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day

Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green. St. Patrick's Day was first celebrated in America in 1737, organized by the Charitable Irish Society of Boston, including a feast and religious service. This first celebration of the holiday in the colonies was largely to honor and celebrate the Irish culture that so many colonists had been separated from.

He made many people's day and made the whole football team have a smile on their face for the whole week , his parents weren't about to capture this moment but they know it happened. The boy said it was an awesome feeling when crossing that line and scoring it. These was his very first touch down ever , and thanks to the football team without the coach knowing they played it off , now they will and must be remebered by the school in the long run.

" Great beauty , great strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use , a right heart exceeds all. "

-Benjamin Franklin

Reflection :
I think that what this quote is trying to say to us is that if your rich , beautiful and you have lots of talent maybe it will come in handy some day but if you have a pure heart that knows weather something is right from wrong , richness is not close to been necessary . Been beautiful and rich won't really get you anywhere unless you make the best out of the things you have for example if you help poor , homeless people because well your really extremely rich you know that you are doing something good and that your cooperating to make this world a whole new better place because other people rather use the money they have buying things that they really don't need , maybe cars and they don't even know how to drive. Or maybe drugs , that doesn't bring anything well into your life that will only make the money you have run out faster instead you can help people who are actually in need rather than buying things you already have , or  maybe because one of your homies got a new car , oh here you go tying to fit in with them and you buy a car , maybe he put better use to it , but did you. Do things that are right , not wrong.
